Bio
Robert K. More (he/him) has always been a storyteller. Ever since he was six years old, he told stories through make believe by pretending to slay dragons in the basement or decode the alien language that is fourth grade mathematics. His journey as a professional storyteller began in high school when he started practicing theatre. Theatre taught him how to understand character motivations and, by extension, understand people. Stories can humanize and comfort people when the story connects with experiences they have had. This is a sentiment Robert brings to whatever project he works on. He took a crack at telling his own stories as a writer in his final high school project, which led him to study art, literature, and communications at John Abbott College from 2017 to 2019. While studying there, he received an honours recognition in English for essays, fiction, and plays he wrote. He was initially rejected from Concordia University’s Creative Writing program, but ever the persistent type, was accepted the second time he applied in the Fall of 2019. During his time at Concordia, he won the English Department’s award for fiction, a creative writing contest open to all Concordia students enrolled in an undergraduate program, in the Winter of 2021. He also did an internship from 2019 to 2022 with Nathon Kong, a fashion brand based in Montreal, where he wrote a blog for the company on various fashion topics and press releases. He completed his studies in English literature and creative and professional writing in 2023 and is currently working on a novel and with companies to help them tell their story.
